MonteurCentraal attaches great importance to the protection of personal data. In this privacy statement, we explain what data we process, why, and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who are we?

MonteurCentraal (hereinafter "we" or "MonteurCentraal") provides software that helps automotive businesses manage their administration, planning, and invoicing.

2. Role distribution (processor vs. controller)

For data entered by a connected garage in MonteurCentraal (such as customer and vehicle data), the garage is the data controller and MonteurCentraal acts as processor. We process this data solely on behalf of the garage and for the provision of the service. For the garage's own data (account, billing, license), we are the data controller.

3. What data do we process?

• Garage Account Details: Name, email address, company details, login credentials (encrypted).
• Usage and device data: IP address, browser/device, activity timestamps (for security and your license's activation log).
• Customer and vehicle details (entered by garage): Name, contact details, license plate, vehicle and repair data.
• Appointment details: Data customers enter for online appointments.
• Payment/License Details: Order reference, email address, chosen package.

4. Purposes and legal basis

• Providing and securing the service (agreement execution).
• Invoicing and license management (contract fulfillment / legal obligation).
• Sending appointment, reminder, and service emails (agreement execution).
• Fraud and abuse prevention (legitimate interest).

5. Provision to third parties (sub-processors)

We only share data with parties necessary to provide the service:

• RDW / PDOK — Retrieve license plate and vehicle data (public data).
• Resend — Sending emails (appointments, reminders, licenses).
• Dropbox / Google Drive — only if the garage links cloud backup itself.
• Hosting Provider — for running the application and database.

We never sell your data to third parties.

6. Retention periods

We do not store data longer than necessary. Billing data is retained in accordance with legal fiscal retention requirements (7 years). Device registrations that have not been used for 90 days are automatically deleted. Upon termination of the account, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, subject to legal obligations.

7. Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encrypted passwords, access restriction per garage (multi-tenant isolation), and encrypted connections (HTTPS).

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and the right to object. Please contact us via info@monteurcentraal.com. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

9. Cookies

We only use functional storage (such as a local device ID and your login session) that is necessary for the application to function. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

10. Changes

We may update this privacy statement. The most current version can always be found on this page.
